Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar residing in Madurai known for their relentless hardwork, honesty and dedication founded the VHN Primary School on the 29th of June 1949. Initially the school had a strength of 101 students and four teaching staff. Located at Munichalai Road, just a km away from the renowned Menakashi Amman Temple, the school has catered to the educational needs of students from various religions and communities.

Leaping a step forward VHN High School for boys was started on the 10th of June 1981. Since then our students have broughts many laurels to the school and the school has crossed many milestones.

It was yet another landmark when the High school was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School on teh 3rd of August 1978. At the Higher Secondary level the school has paved the way for the bright future of many student. To its credit the school has as many Doctors, Engineers, I.A.S. Officers, Scientists, Auditors, Lawyers, Educationists, Industrialists and Businessmen in its alumini.

The management of the school added yet another feather to their cap by starting a high school for girls on the 1st of June 1994, which was upgraded as a higher secondary school in the academic year 1996-1997.

All the Four schools - V.H.N. Primary School, V.H.N. Hr. Sec. School for Boys & V.H.N Girls Higher Secondary School, VHN TMJ Girls Matriculation School have a strength of more than 2000 students 65 teachers and 18 non-teaching staff.
